Chicago has become a traveler’s haven when it comes creative dining, Instagram-worthy cuisine, and relaxing (or raucous, depending on your tastes) bars. While you'll find a bounty of world-class restaurants on Randolph and Fulton, we've put together a short list of our favorite places to hit up near the stadium.
Billy Goat Tavern
If you and your travel buddies are looking for amazing late-night, fantastic beer selections, and one amazing Cheezborger, the Billy Goat Tavern is the stop for you. The Bottom Lounge has it all: live music, craft beer, all-American cuisine, a rooftop deck, and a sports-centric atmosphere. But you know what puts this favorite over the top? A free Blackhawks shuttle that runs to the United Center at intervals one hour before game time. Pre-game drinks, anyone?

For the fan who can’t get enough of the Chicago sports scene, The Ogden is the official Blackhawks sports bar. You’ll find a chef-driven, beer-friendly menu and exciting energy while watching either a Blackhawks or Bulls game in the company of other superfans. And since it's just a block and a half from Hotel Chicago West Loop, the Ogden is the perfect place to grab some post-game beers and wings after an energetic night at the Madhouse.

United Center Overview
In Chicago, the skyscrapers are larger than life. The United Center is no exception. With seating available for over 23,000 guests, the United Center boasts a capacity rivaling any other indoor arena in the country. Not only is this impressive arena home to the Bulls and the Blackhawks, but it’s also the epicenter for concerts and other events blowing through the Windy City (over 200 of them!). Our hotel is located just down the street, making it the most convenient way to experience the Madhouse on Madison.
Blackhawk and Bulls
In Chicago, we get fired up about our most nationally prominent sports team: the Chicago Bulls. Built on the legacy of amazing sports superstars like six-time National Championship winners Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and head coach Phil Jackson, the contemporary Bulls team continues the legacy of drawing huge crowds as they compete against the likes of Cleveland’s LeBron James and the Golden State’s Steph Curry.
We take hockey seriously in Chicago. That’s why the Blackhawks are the team to watch. With an incredibly competitive group of physical players, the Blackhawks find themselves in the hunt season after season. Led by their dynamic right wing scorer Patrick Kane, our team always provides a thrilling hockey experience for die-hard fans and novice viewers. Even if you're rooting for your home team, it'll be impossible to not get swept up in the energy of the Madhouse.
Concerts & Events at the United Center
If you’re in town for music, the United Center is always rocking out. Bands like The Killers, Bon Jovi, and U2 pack out the arena along with names like Sam Smith, Lana Del Rey, Black Sabbath, Pink, Roger Waters, Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake.
The United Center never takes a night off from delivering world-class entertainment and offers other events throughout the year. Disney on Ice, Cirque du Soleil, comedy tours, UFC, and even tennis tournaments round out the arena’s offerings.
